Call for Public Comment - Staff Accommodation at Mpila Camp, Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve
Notice is hereby given that an application for environmental authorisation (EA) in terms of the EIA Regulations, 2014 will be lodged with the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE). The proposed activity requires an application subject to a Basic Assessment process and all Interested and Affected parties (I & APs) are invited to register with the contact person below.
Project Details
The Ezemvelo KwaZulu-Natal Wildlife (EKZNW) propose to construct two new staff accommodation blocks and septic tanks at the Mpila Camp, located within Ward 8 of the Big Five Hlabisa Local Municipality, uMkhanyakude District Municipality, KwaZulu-Natal. The construction of the two new blocks located outside of the existing Mpila Staff accommodation fence. Therefore, a Basic Assessment Process will be followed to authorise the clearance of more than 300m2 of indigenous vegetation within a protected area.
